Golden Knights Donates Meals to Healthcare Workers

The great city of Las Vegas gets together to support one another in these hard times. Since we don’t have sports, the Las Vegas Golden Knights are making great use of their time to help their city. Three NHL team members from a partner with Golden Knights Foundation will donate 7,000 meals to healthcare workers in Vegas. The players that are involved include Jon Merrill, William Karlsson, and Deryk Engelland.

The food will be given in courtesy of the chefs at the MacKenzie River restaurant. The restaurant located inside of the City’s National Arena. For the next five weeks, the team will be providing 300 meals each day, five days a week.

Right now, this is the current three players that are assisting with the foundation. However, more players may potentially be added and increase meals.

Medical professionals all over Las Vegas are fighting this virus on the front lines to keep families and the community safe. We’re proud to show support for those that are working in healthcare across the Las Vegas Valley by supplying thousands of meals over the next coming weeks.” Said- Kim Frank, The Las Vegas Golden Knights Foundation president.

When Will the National Hockey League Return?

As the world waits to come back after this unfortunate coronavirus outbreak, everyone is quarantining in the meantime.  There will be no major sports being played while this is happening. We lost the March Madness, the finish to the NBA season, MLB, NHL and much more. Every industry in the world and the US is hurting and there is, regrettably, no telling when things will be coming back.

President Trump said that he is hopeful for the NFL season to take place as scheduled.  However, this doesn’t mean much to the die-hard NHL fans, though take it for what it is right now.
